2007 file saved as 2003 file will not open.

I have been sent a project file that has been saved as a 2003 format from a
2007 programme, unfortunately when the file opens it crashes the 2003
programme. Any ideas what may be causing this problem ? Thanks in advance.

Hello KenCat,

In addition to Rod's good advice to stop autoexec macros, ensure you
have SP-3 installed to Project 2003.

I have requested I.T to install SP3, it seems I may have to wait a while. I
will try Rod's advice and see how it reacts.

You're welcome Ken. I don't think you'll be successful without SP-3
however, as I believe that was the service pack enabling a Project
2007 file to be opened in Project 2003. Good luck and keep us
posted if turning off any autoexec macros worked for you without
SP-3.
