6110 all in one/MS Office scan issue

I'm trying to scan a multi-paged double-sided document on my HP 6110
using Microsoft Office scanning. It scans the one side of the document
from the feeder and then prompts me to turn the document over. I turn
it over, reload it into the feeder and click continue. It scans the
first page and then stops. I can't figure out why it won't scan past
the first page after I turn the document over. Any ideas?

I have the HP7110 which is basically the same as the 6110, it does the same
to me.

I don't know if this is by design or what but found if you insert one page
at a time you can scan double sided. So much for the ADF.
