Norton will cause your error, disable script blocking and in Norton options, misc.
disable Office Plug-ins.

Not Norton, but EZTrust AntiVirus.

Are you running Norton anti-virus on this new system?

I'm unfamiliar with that program but perhaps it also has script blocking?

I visited EZ Trust, terrible web support. Somewhere in your help documentation it
probably mentions Office or Microsoft.

Try opening your Publisher documents with the anti-virus disabled.

You could be having a printer problem too. Publisher 97 saved all printer information
with each document. Try opening a publication in safe mode. When you installed XP, no
doubt the printer was updated to XP as well. If you can get a publication to open in
safe mode, disable your printer before you open Publisher and re-save.
