Access 2007 - Filtering information in a form?

Hello ... I have a master and subform where all detail transactions for the
Master Key (employee) are displayed in the detail form.

I would like to be able to filter this information to display only data for
specific "Statement numbers" and "Statement dates" both of which are on the
master record. Currently all data for the employee is being shown. I have
been reading about filters and wonder if they are the solution.
Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to do this.

Any help would be most appreciated.
