Access 2007 relationship with Outlook

Dave

Access 2007

I have heard that there is some built in integration that allows for forms
to be built in outlook 2007 and then the resulting data input is then
importable into Access 2007.

Can anyone point me in the direction to get info/tutorials on this
relationship?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Hi Dave,

I think you might be thinking of this?

Demo: Collect data in Access 2007 by using e-mail
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/access/HA102527131033.aspx

Notes:
You have two choices for the forms: HTML-based or using InfoPath. The
HTML-based forms requires that each receipient of your message reads it with
HTML enabled. They must hit reply first, before starting to fill out the
form. There is no validation available with the HTML-based forms. The
InfoPath option allows you to include validation, but this also requires that
each receipient have InfoPath installed on their PCs. This is a more viable
option in an Office environment, where the configuration of each PC is
controlled.

Yes Tom - I think that was it.
I have been playing with it since you posted the link and as yet I can seem
to get it to work.
Does it require the email recieptants to be using Outlook 2007 Or even using
outlook (will Gmail yahoo users be able to file out the forms?
So far I have only tried using the HTML option.

Thanks

Hi Dave,
...and as yet I can seem...

I guessing you meant to write "can't".

I have not experimented with this feature myself, however, my understanding
is that for the HTML-based method, one only needs to have an e-mail client
that is configured to read messages as HTML. The client does not need to be
Outlook 2007.
will Gmail yahoo users be able to file out the forms?

I don't see why not, as long as Gmail and/or Yahoo does not display received
messages as plain text only. Seems easy enough to set up a couple of free
accounts at Google and Yahoo, to conduct a test.
