Access to the old groove forums

Anyone know how to get to the old groove forums. There was a wealth of
knowledge in the list that doesn't appear to have made it here.

Thanks

Hi,

I'm regret to say the old forum has been closed. You can put your questions
here to see if any one can help.

This seems lame. Can you at least publish a read-only archive on the forums? Or send the content to me and I will publish it for you
free of charge. :)

I agree with Eric's reply to this reponse. It seems that MS is abandoning
users of Groove, and trying to force us to move to Office 2007.

I've looked at the procedures for trying the Beta, which require me to
uninstall Groove 3.1, and I presume once I do that, I'm stuck.

It all sounds like it's going to be much more complicated, and more
expensive than it was.

There could be a lot of us who don't want to make that move and don't want
to lose what we had!

My original post in this thread was to obtain some self guided tech support
for version 3.1. I do remember many items contained in the list that were
really helpful. I can't really comment on the new beta other than what I
have read as stated by Pat.

The old support forums has a wealth of information of all sorts.
I had posted ~1200 posts and other Groove users (e.g., Ashok Hingorani) had
postings well over that. Making those available, even on a read-only basis
makes a lot of sense, as prior versions of Groove will be around for quite
sometime.

I just had to add to this.....
It seems that GVO 3.1 is being abandoned. I'm a long time user (starting
with version 2.0) and am concerned that the product has been placed under the
knife and it''s parts removed so that other products may prosper.
First the 200MB (2007) client compared to the <30 MB 3.1) version does, in
some ways, less. Then deprecating the peer-to-peer chat, the document review,
Outlook integration, and various other sacrifices.
Now, it appears that IE7 breaks the older forms (2.5) that are a part of the
Mobile Workspace for Sharepoint template that is/was extrememly useful.
Groove 2007 will currently only support Sharepoint 2007 Document Libraries -
not the other Sharepoint items such as Contacts and Discussion. I know you
can add those in Groove but they aren't synchronized with Sharepoint. If you
want a solution where browser-based Sharepoint 2003 clients and Groove 3.1
clients can be equal partners, you're choices are evaporating.
