Access - update form with different table

I'm updating a database for a new fiscal year and am
trying to not have to totally redesign my form. Can I do
a copy of the original form, save it as a new form, and
then tell the new form to pull from a different table?
Then the new table with start over with a new autonumber
sequence - I may have to do an append query to get the
numbers to change, but that I can work around. Just need
to know if I can tell my new form to pull from a different
table and how to do it.

Why would you need a new form for a new fiscal year? Are you saying that
you have a new table for a new fiscal year? If so, it sounds like you are
working with ... a spreadsheet!
