accounts not retaining my password

Each time I open Outlook Express, i have to continually
type in my password when I click 'send and receive',
create email, send email (even though I check marked the
box to 'remember password' in the accounts window.
How does one solve this problem? Is my Outlook and
Outlook Exress corrupted?
