Activation/Licence Clarification

I have a copy of Microsoft Office XP I got cheap from my college (MSDNAA),
but when I graduated it became mine completely. I'm now building a
completely new computer and I was wondering if it is possible/allowed to
completely transfer that copy to my new computer. Keep in mind what I'm
saying is that I will remove it from the old computer and it will still only
run on 1 computer.

Since you graduated from college and are no longer a student,
you no longer are a "Qualified Educational User" and are not
eligible to use the MSDNAA version of Microsoft Office.

Your right to use the license has expired.

I dont think thats accurate for my case. When I graduated, I had to go in
and fill out a form that made the copy of Office a legal licence beyond
graduation. Because of this form its possible it doesnt fall under the
MSDNAA program any longer, but it specifically said that the licence was mine
even if the school were to discontinue their MSDNAA program.

I have no idea what type of "form" you filled-out.
You'll have to discuss your issue with someone
knowledgeable about the "form".

OK, none of this was really my question. Hypothetically speaking lets say I
have a normal run of the mill office licence for the standard edition. Can I
move it to another computer if I remove it from the first one? I imagine I
will ahve to call about activation, but will they let me do it or am would
this be considered breaking the rules?

Only "Retail Versions" of Office can be transferred and
reactivated on a different computer. You do not have a
"Retail Version" that can accomplish this.

Look for info here

The Info I looked at in my opinion indicates that you would not be eligible
to use the software upon graduation. It is possible that MS and Your school
had unique license agreement specific to your school.
