Activation then computer replaced

I purchased a Gateway in August with 60 day MS Office. I purchased the full
product and shortly thereafter my computer crashed. Today I got a new
laptop. Is there a way to use my prior activation? Can't seem to reach MS -
at least without paying $35 to email the question. TIA - Ed

You should be able to insert the CDs into your new computer and install it
on that. Did you try?

(Activation is required, registration is optional.)

The software is on the new computer already (another 60 day trial), but I did
try to use the CD. Problem is the program requests the activation key, which
I obtained online. Can't I somehow reaccess that code? In comparison,
McAfee came preinstalled on both new computers, and I was able to simply
access my McAfee account online and download the full versions I had
purchased.

Thanks
