Activation trouble...

Hello...Ok, so i have this copy (lidgit mind you..) of
Office Xp. I installed it on my machine and it was just
great, well as good as it can be...but then something
very very bad happend to that machine which resulted in
me having to purchace a new one. So yada yada yada i
went to install my office on it, but says its already
been activated...and i'm like well crap..paid money for
this program that i cant use anymore?? is there anything
i can do to get it to activate?!

Hi Matt,

If it's an OEM edition (intended for sale only
as preinstalled on a new computer) it's married
to the original computer.

If it's a boxed retail copy use the telephone
activation method to speak to a MS technician.

installing on my laptop, i installed on my desktop fine
wont let me do both

Use the Activate by Phone method and just explain the situation. They will
give you a new activation code. It's a toll free calls and takes just a
couple of minutes.

If you installed the same copy on both the desktop and the notebook, there
is your problem. It won't let you install and activate it on two different
machines. If you have two copies, then register by phone as Cari suggested.
