Activation

I am taking delivery of a new Vista PC. When I load my Publisher 2003
(upgraded from 97) I am assuming I will need to activate again. Can anyone
tell me what happens and how I do this?

TIA

Ed

Thanks, Mary.

I tried locating a telephone number at Microsoft Support but could only find
numbers for volume licenses. Do I get the chance when I am asked to
'Activate'?

If you are asked to activate, there should be a phone option. The activation
menu is under help. Office 2003 can be installed on a desktop and a laptop,
maybe you will not be asked to activate.

My phone activation number was
1-888-652-2342

Thanks again, Mary.

Now I know I can stop looking!!

I'm in the UK so the number you use might be a bit expensive!

Best wishes,

Ed

My International Number was:
716-871-2919

But users in most other countries will select their own country and get
a local toll-free number.

I can't remember what my (UK) number was, but I seem to remember it
started with 00800 (international freephone). Although that might have
been Windows...

I might add, if it was an OEM version (installed by the manuafacturer) you
can't move it to a new computer.
