actual cost overwrite in MS Project

Is there a way to overwrite the actual cost in MS Project. I want to be able
to get the actual cost for my projects from the accounting software (because
it is alot more accurate) we use and be able to tell MS Project what the
actual costs to date are and then let it do the earned value calculations for
me. is that possible?

Yes, but you need to tell Project you want to provide actual costs rather
than have it calculate them. Select Tools, Options and in the Calculation
tab deselect Actual Costs are always calculated by....

would project calculate the % complete if manualy input the actual cost?
