add PPT animation to word document

I'd like to insert a PPT animated image
to a word document.

I inserted the PPT animation but it remains still.
then I saved the PPT file into a gif file hoping
that it would animate but it doesn't.

any suggestions will be much appreciated.

I'll bet the animation will "play" if you double-click on the Powerpoint
object in Word.
