"Add to Outlook Contacts" From Web Page

How do I program my web page so that users clicking on a link will download
contact information stored on the web page into their Outlook contacts? I
realize this is a multi-step process and I appreciate your time. Thank you!

I believe if you import your .vcf file into your web and create a link to it
on a web page, that if someone clicks on it, it will prompt them to open or
save it to their PC (in Outlook).

Kathleen - thank you so much for such a quick response! I tried just
creating a hyperlink to the .VCF which I copied to a web folder and it
worked. I didn't import it, and I was wondering what the difference is
between the two approaches.

Sorry for the 'newbie' questions - I inherited the responsibility of
maintaining the firm's website and I have a lot of catching up to do!

Many thanks,

worked. I didn't import it, and I was wondering what the difference is

If you truly didn't imort it, but copied it to the folder location inside a
local web, the file would not be recognized by the FrontPage server
extensions. They would not know it was there. In the case of a single
disconnected file (disconnected except for the hyperlink to it, that is), it
probably makes no difference.

Still, when in doubt, import. It gives the FrontPage server extensions for
that web a "heads up" that the file has been added. In some cases, this is
critical.
