Adding a text file to a frames page

I need to be able to open a text file in the main page of
a frame. Does anyone have a idea how to do this. Everytime
I've tried, the text file opens notepad. As the text file
will eventualy contain a serial number for a hybrid CD. I
can't use notepad when it gets opened on the Mac.

What happen when you create a link to the .txt file, as you would any other
file, and use File Menu | Preview in Browser or publish the site to live
site and try?

The page will not be published to an ISP. It will be
contained on the Hybrid disk and will be part of the
instalation process. The sample I have from the my client
uses a webpage for the Mac part and an executable for the
PC portion. I can create the Hybrid no problem (Autoplay
on both the Mac and the PC) I can get the text file to
link okay in the PC but I need the Serial number to appear
on the title/index page of the MAc. Each disk will have a
unique serial number from a unique text file, shared with
the pc portion. (before anyone asks yes we have that bit
working as well!! And no I'm not telling!!!!!!!)
