adding resources without Windows accounts

We set up generic Windows accounts for contractors to log into our network
(through Juniper) but are adding them to projects as resources using their
real names. We'd like to add them to Project Server with Project Server
authentication using their real names but also have the ability to view the
project documents and tasks to which they're assigned. We can't seem to get
the link between the Project Server authentication and the project resource.

Simply add the contractors to your Enterprise Resource Pool and do not enter
a Windows user account for them. When you save the Enterprise Resource
Pool, Project Server will automatically create user accounts that use
Project Server authentication for each of them and will add them
automatically to the Team Members group in PWA. Hope this helps.

That was excellent. I tried it and it worked perfectly. Thanks very much. I
was trying to add to PS before adding to the enterprise resource pool.
