Adding the "From" field to Outlook

When composing a new email I was adding the "from" field
to Outlook in order to use the "Send As" feature. That
option did not exist because I was using Word 2003 as my
email editior. Once I unchecked this option I was able
to click on View - From Field. My questions is: Is
there a way to use the "From" filed while keeping Word
2003 as my email text editor?
