.Addnew is populating blanks

I'm using the Addnew via ado to read data into a table. The field is
formatted as text, but some items are coming in as blank.

The data I am importing contains either numbers or text example: 1111, Y111
etc. When the field is formatted as number the numbers come in and entries
such as Y111 are imported as blank. When formatted as text, the Y111
populates, but the 1111 does not.

You really need to show us the code you're currently using. Also, what app
are you importing the data from?

Are you also doing the .Update at the end of the field updates? Or
does ADO not require that? I can't recall now.
