Hey Javeeb,
Have a look at the code in the LDAP web service
http://www.codeplex.com/ldapwebservice
I used this web service (with some slight modifications) to do exactly what
your asking. It'll basically give you a head start to connect to your LDAP
server and start pulling information about users.

Hope this helps

Cheers,

Hey Ben,

Thanks for your resposne, I was able to pull the user information from AD
using web services in MOSS 2007. But the problem i am trying to design a
workflow where when a user submit a form using form services in MOSS 2007 an
task should be asigned to his reporting manager which is there in AD, but not
sure how to us look-up in workflow which will point to submitting user
manager.

Looking forward to hear form you.

Can you able to get the Manager's info from the AD for the user who is going
to submit the form?

Yes only manager name not the e-mail address, once i get manager e-mail
address or i can ask the user to fill the approver e-mail address but my
question is how to use that field infomation in the SPD workflow.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards
Javeed

Publish the "Manager" field to form library, create a WF in SP, select "Send
Email" action.

For To: click the GAL/book icon, select & add "Workflow Lookup..." under
"or select form existing Users and Groups",
"Source" would be "Current Item",
"Field" would be the field of the form which has Manager info ( domain\john)
published by you to the form lib.
