I have an issue with Outlook not allowing other programs to send emails thru outlook 2002. It asks a question if the email is allowed? Yes or No.. How do you bypass this security setting..

Hi compman!

You need to setup Outlook's security settings. Here's the basic overview: install office tools on your pc, next create public folder-- Outlook Security Settings (for mail!), then create
security template and post into folder. Now find the registry key and export it. Have required users click key to install. Or if company wide, deploy via AD. Note! Settings in template
probably determined by your software program, so verify with mfr. I had to for our accounting s/w to send alerts! Here's a MS overview link:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/2003/three/ch12/outg03.htm ...Also look for the Doc file on MS site to give the complete overview. If you need it, e-mail me off-news and I'll send direct.

Ciao!
