am i a registered owner of office? can i save 2000 if i download 2

i have a product id for ms 2000. the software was on the system i purchased
but i have no cds. if i download trial version ms office 2003 i believe i
will lose word, excel, etc. how to save them? will ms download if i have a
prod number?
my outlook telephine dialer isn't working and the download requires i have a
cd. how do i update outlook?

If you do not have your Office 2000 CDs, then I would recommend that you
do NOT install the Office 2003 trial version. If you install the trial
version incorrectly, it will delete your current installation of Office
2000, and you would need your Office 2000 CDs to reinstall. The trial
version will eventually expire, and if you uninstall it, then you might
have to repair your Office 2000 installation (which requires the CDs).
