Animated Graphics

I would like to be able to put the American Flag in a PowerPoint
presentation and have the flag waving as I am showing pictures of Veterans.
Can someone please tell me where to find such a graphic that would do that
in a presentation. I found an animated bitmap file that on the website the
flag waved but when I saved it to my hard drive and then inserted it into
the presentation and played the slideshow the flag didn't move.

Thank you.

Hi Sue,

First, you will need to check what version of PowerPoint you are running.
PowerPoint 2000 and newer support motion graphics. If your version is prior
to PPT 2000 then there is some excellent advice at
http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/autorun_giftoavi.htm

Second, the bmp you captured was probably just one frame of a multiple frame
picture. The site that you saw it on was probably using several BMPs
swapped over one another, rather than a single motion graphic file. I would
search for a GIF file that will support motion, instead of a BMP which can
only display a single still picture. Google and yahoo have excellent image
search engines, but always get the authors permission before using any of
their work.

Thank you for the advise. I am running PowerPoint 2002 at home and 2003 at
work. The graphic that I got was a bmp so I am out to google to search for
an animated gif.
