Any news on 2003

Anyone have any info on the changes forthcoming in Publisher 2003?

What features that we had in 97 that were moved in 2002 will we again have
to search for and hope they are still there in 2003? :)

And will they get color seperation right this time for the masses? :)

Hey, at least I buy it and use it!

I can answer for color as I have actually used it for production purposes.
Pub 2003 produces CMYK-separated output that goes directly into platemakers
with NO correction.

Thanks for that, though about the only thing I am happy about in what you
wrote is this... "That new feature being Pixels as a measurement unit
option."

XML... jeez... as if people who are designing sites in Publisher have any
usability needs for that. They blew the cork when they moved away from the
straight HTML coding in 97. Pub97 made it SO easy to use Publisher as a
design mechanism for the web, which is really all the web aspect of
publisher is useful for. Anyone doing any proper website layout shouldn't
even be considering using Publisher.

Anyway, thanks for the info! MB

I'll believe it when I believe it :)

Suspicios!

60 pages four color, all but front page and 2 adds directly from Pub2003,
printed to color PS and distilled as composite CMYK.
Even the pre-print lady at the printshop did'nt believe her eyes.

You had better believe it. I have done a full colour 24 page glossy
brochure and probably another 4 or 5 other small jobs. Did not touch any of
them at all.

Overall Publisher 2003 is a great product.

Besides the *UNBELIEVABLE* no defaults put back, as in NORMAL.PUB like
Publisher 97 had, there are few complaints. There is an add-in for default
fonts which works in a tolerably acceptable method. Certainly way better
than nothing
