Apostophe

I am using word 2003. Everytime I type an apostophe the there is a space
inserted and the a letter come next see the example below. How can I make the
spaces not appear when I am using an apostophe?

won' t
Sam' s club

Check your keyboard language settings. If you are using some
international settings, the default may be adding a space after the
apostrophe for another language.

Go to your Windows Control Panel and check both the Keyboard and
Regional/Language settings and make sure they are correct.
