Archive/Synchronization Error

Synchronization is not working on this laptop. I am
getting this error in the archive log:

Error while archiving folder "Inbox" in store "Mailbox -
Last, First". The item is currently being scanned for
viruses. Try again in a few moments.

(I ommitted the user's first and last name in the error)

Additional info:
Error has been occuring for about 10 days.
Dell Latitude laptop with XP Pro and latest service packs.
Running Outlook 2003
Windows 2000 domain and Exchange 2000.
Running Norton Antivirus Corporate locally. Error occurs
with or without NAV installed.
Error also occured when we had an Exchange 5.5 environment
(we migrated last week)
Error also occurs on a different laptop with Outlook 2002
for this user profile.
User is an executive with extensive emails and large
offline files.
We were having other synchronization errors prior to
getting this antivirus error and installed Office 2003 in
an attempt to fix them.
