Areas for Autolayout

How do I add one of my own choosing to a master slide. I
can't seem to find anyway to do it.

I would like a master with a place for a single different
line on the bottom of the page. I don't want to select and
edit each time, I would like to be able to do like the
rest of the areas. Just click and type! Any ideas???

What you see is what you get. Unfortunately you cannot add placeholders or
auto layouts. The work around is to create a dummy slide with the layout of
textboxes, etc., that you want. Then dup and edit the slide as needed.
