Asign a resource

Xavier

I have created the tasks for the project. I want now to add a resource to
them. Is it possible to add in one step on resource which will be work with
60%?.

Thanks

Hello Xavier,

I assume you want to add the same resource to all tasks at an assignment
unit of 60%?. If so, temporarily turn off the summary tasks through
Tools > Options, View tab and uncheck "Show summary tasks." Select all
tasks in the project by clicking on the Task Name column heading, then
click the Assign Resoures button on the standard toolbar. Select the
resource's name and enter the 60% in the units area. Click Assign to
assign the resource.

Turn the summary tasks back on.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hello Julie,

thanks for your answer.
I have done the steps. All tasks are now allocated with 60%, but in the
resource Graph I have now a overload. It did not make a recalculation based
on this 60%
I want he should extend all so that I have not an overload

Thanks

Hello Xavier,

You're welcome and thanks for the feedback. If you want Project to
spread out the assignments so your resource is not overallocated, you'll
need to either manually alter the assignments or you can use the
Resource Leveling command. I suggest taking a look at the resource
leveling command information in help before trying it on your project.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
