Assign Different Resource Costs

Hi,

let say, I have a task with 4 days ( 12/25/06 - 12/28/06 ) as duration. In
normal working day, the resource is paid with the Standard Rate of 30/hr but
if the resource has to work on Public Holiday, the new rate would be 40/hr.

What I'm look for is just to apply the new rate to a particular day, like
12/25/06, could have any way to do it? Actually, I had tried this out by
using cost rate tables methods; but the new rate was applied to all days
within that task.

I don't know if this is the best way to do it....and I haven't done this
personally, but you could try the following:

Doubclick on the Resource in the Resource Sheet
Under the Cost Tab, you can change the rate by day. For example

1) Set Standard Rate to $30
2) On the second line in the Cost Tab (Table A), add 12/25/2006 as the effective
date, and set the standard rate to 40
3) On the third line, add 12/26/2006 as the effective date and reset the
standard rate to 30
4) DOCUMENT SAID CHANGE IN A RESOURCE NOTE
