Assigning Multiple Tasks to One Dependant Task

I

info

Is there an easy way to highlight multiple tasks (ie:
4,5,6,7,8,12,33,41...etc.) and then assigned all of these task as
dependant on the completion of a different single task (say task #2)?
These multiple tasks might also have other predecessor tasks already
assigned.

I know you can highlight a group of tasks and then link them, but that
puts them in consecutive order-I am looking to assign the entire
group of tasks to one single predecessor task without having to go to
each individual task. Hope this question makes sense.

Thanks

Hello,
Instead of typing the predecessors, enter the successors at the predecessor
level. Either in the successors column or in the Task Form / Predecessors &
Successors details

With all due respect, Gerard, I've used Project for 13 years,
scheduling software for 21 years, and I have no idea what "Instead of
typing the predecessors, enter the successors at the predecessor
level." means! I know how to create multiple predecessors or
successors, but I don't understand what you mean by "levels". I don't
recall ever running across different "levels" of predecessors or
successors. I hope the OP gets it better than I do.

Sorry for my unclear explanation,
I wanted to say that you can't do that with a multiple selection and a click
on the "Link Tasks" button.
If a task has several predecessors, you can list them in the "Predecessors"
field (separated by you list separator). If another task has the same list
of predecessors, you can copy/paste that list.
In the reverse order, if a task has several successors, you can enter them
in its "Successors" field. If another task has the same list of successors,
you can copy/paste that list.
