Attaching a zip file to a word document; how?

I want to attache a zip file of pictures to my word document, so the zip file
will be able to be opened and extracted from the word page.

What version of Word? If you're using Word 2007, in the Insert tab, click
Object - Object - Create from File. use Browse to navigate to the file, tick
Display as icon, and don't tick Link to file. If Word 2003 or earlier, try
Insert - Object - Create from File, etc.
