I'd use Secure FTP for files that big, much faster.

Sorry That's what I'd do loading up your mail server IMO is the last thing
you'd want to do..
Plus who you send it to their server has to deal with the large files also..
And they might restrict size receiving..

What's your Limits on your SMTP gateway?

I suggest not. The best way would be to put it on a website and send your
recipient a link to it.
