Attachments Difficulties

More often than not, when I attempt to send email with several attachments,
it doesn't work -- I get an error message saying "An unknown error (4362)
occurred." So, more often than not, I need to combine the attachments into a
zip archive before attaching and sending.

At first I thought it was because the total size of the attachments was
somehow too large. But it seems to be more dependent on the number of
attachments (more than 2 is always a problem) rather than their size.

I've read that the 4362 error could be caused by a corrupted database. But
I've had some (apparently unrelated) problems when Entourage told me that
the database was corrupted, and I followed through with verification and
rebuilding. However, the attachment difficulties remain. (I've also had
Entourage tell me that the database was corrupted, but the verification
exercise resulted in a "clean bill of health.")

Any suggestions?

that used to be quite common under Office 2004 (you don't say what
version you are using!).

try a rebuild, even if the verify shows no problem.

I guess I wasn't all that clear in my post. During the time I've been having
this attachments problem, I've also gone through several rebuilds on
different occasions after being told by Entourage that my database was
damaged (due to seemingly unrelated problems). So, I've already done a
rebuild several times (as recently as 2 days ago, actually), and it has had
no effect on the attachments problem. My other comment regarding the verify
showing no problem was meant as a "BTW" comment.

And yes, I'm using Entourage 2004.
