Attempting to rescue old e-mails from Outlook stored on CD

I recently had to retire my old desktop PC running Windows 98 and I now have
a bright shiny new PC running Windows XP. As part of the my old machine's
last rites, I had my old files saved onto a CD. I used both Outlook Express
and Outlook (to keep my business and personal e-mails separate). I was able
to locate help in this forum to rescue my .dbx files back into Outlook
Express ... one hurdle passed. Now I'm trying to rescue my Outlook e-mails
and I cannot figure out where these files are! What is the file
type/extension? Would retrieving these be the same process as for Outlook
Express (copy all but the txt files to a folder on my hard drive and then use
the import function in Outlook)?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Yes, Lady. Try looking for outlook.pst and archive.pst. If you had any other
personal folders in Outlook, you may have additional *.pst files.

One caveat: There is no need to import once LadyIceNH finds her files -- she
can just open them in Outlook via File | Open | Outlook Data File. See
http://www.howto-outlook.com/Howto/backupandrestore.htm for more information.
