Author password propblems

I am trying to update a website i made for a friend using
frontpage 2000. When i click publish and enter the
destination a window pops up asking for username and
password. I know this is normal but I type in my
administrator password and the window keeps popping back
up. I have tried many of the passwords that i have used
but none of them work. I need to know of I can reset my
administrator password information. I have searched but
have been unable to find anything.

I appreciate any help as client is getting impatient.
