Auto Shapes

Is there anyone out there who can help with this problem. I inserted a
rectangle into my Word doc - then I added some text. However, when I use the
rotation handle, the box rotates - the handle does NOT.

When you type in "rectangle" in the "Help" box and choose "About Shapes" -
it clearly states "......You can add text to shapes. The text you add
becomes part of the shape— if you rotate or flip the shape, the text rotates
or flips with it."

Yet, when you do this, the text does NOT rotate with the box.

This is just plain wrong, and whoever wrote the Help had never tried it (and
should be shot--or at least fired). Text in an AutoShape is basically the
same as text in a text box: it can be rotated 90 degrees left or right,
period. The only way to create text that can be freely rotated is with
WordArt.

Thank you very much Suzanne. I'm guessing you read the info in the "Help"
section. I'll try it with Word Art and let you know if I'm successful.

Thanks again.
