Auto Start Up

Is there a way to have the PowerPoint 2003 file
automatically start up when the user pulls up the file?
I believe that earlier versions used a different
extension but I am not having luck in finding the secret
on this version. TY

You need to save your presentation as a PowerPoint show. You can change from
one to the other in a couple of ways:
1) From inside PowerPoint, use File--> Save As, and change the type to
PowerPoint Show. (You will need to use the drop down arrow and scroll down
the list to find this option.)
2) From Windows Explorer, view the directory containing the presentation
file. Make sure that file extensions are showing. Change the extension from
ppt to pps. It will ask if you are sure you want to make the change, say
yes.

Either way, your presentation should now open in Show mode.
