AutoArchiving just quit

When checking my archive file I discovered that althought
the files were moving out of my inbox after a month as
directed, they quit showing up in my archive file. They
just disappeared.

Decided to start over, create a new archive file and
settings and see if I could get some existing inbox files
to move to the archive file with "apply settings now".

Nothing happened. Do I need to just reload Outlook?
Don't know where to go for answers

Check the Modified date on the items that aren't being archived as you think
they should. That's the date Outlook uses to determine whether or not an
item is ready to be AutoArchived, and a simple action such as moving the
item to another folder can change the Modified date. More information and a
