Autocalculation on file open

On a few occassions when I open a project file some of my custom calculated
date fields which use Today's date do not update unless I force them to by
clicking autocalculate now in tools/options/calculation. My project files
are set up to autocalculate so why does this not happen on File Open?

Hello Steve,

Project does not perform a calculation on open. You could press F9
when you open the file to force a calculation instead of working
through the Tools > Options menu.
