I was wondering how to delete an autofill text that you see when you type a letter in a cell and a number of text words show up to choose from?

There are a number of text I do not want or require.

Thanks

Hi Lewis -

The feature is called AutoComplete:) Basically it is either On or Off,
although there are some controls in Excel> Preferences> AutoComplete. If
it's On, however, any items in the column will be in the list - IOW, you
can't modify or control *which* items in the column will appear in the list.

The presumption being that if you have it in the column once you'll likely
have a need to have it again.

Autofill suggests similar values from cells above and below the active cell,
if they are part of a contiguous area. You cannot choose which ones appear,
however you can disable the function altogether in the Preferences, Edit
section:
Enable AutoComplete for cell values
