Automatic name checking isn't

I use Office 2000. Since I upgraded to Windows XP pro, Outlook won't
automatically check names. I have it set to do so in the preferences but
always have to manually click the check names button. I searched Microsoft
and Google but couldn't any help. Anyone have a suggestion?

When you upgraded, it's possible that your contacts lost their setting as an
Outlook Address Book. Right click each of your contact folders and click the
Outlook Address Book tab and make sure the checkbox is checked.
