Automatic Send/Receive on Startup

K

Kit Truong

I've been told this is the default option but I honestly don't see this
happening when I open Outlook. (I'm using Outlook 2K/XP by the way)

When I go into the Send/Receive Settings, I only see an option for Automatic
Send/Receive on Exit. (No option for Start up)

What the dilli?

Thanks.

It's harcoded so there is no option for it. When Outlook finds that it is
connected at startup it does a send/receive. Do you get new messages when
you disable the automatic send/receive alltogether or only when you use the
Send/Receive button at startup?

Bear in mind that the OP indicated the Outlook version is Outlook 2000. If
so, polling on startup requires a LAN connection be set for the mail
account. Only Outlook 2002 will poll automatically without a LAN connection.
