Hi,
I work in a programming environment and I need to now if the following is
possible:
1. at the beginning of each month (roughly) each programmer receives his/her
tasks for the month; normally (95% of the cases) these tasks should be
followed sequentially;
2. sometimes, during the month a new "super urgent" task appears that needs
immediate attention - meaning that you have to leave what you are working at
that moment and start the new task;
Now, every programmer has a project plan with his/her tasks, % complete, etc.
What I was trying to do (and didn't succed till now) was to create something
like a "prioritization" - when an "super urgent" task appears to add it in
the project plan for that day and, automatically, the actual task (meaning
the one that I interrupt for the moment) to split, giving me room for the
"super urgent" task.
Please let me know if such a thing may be possible in MS Project 2003.
