backup feature

Hi I use outlook 2003 and have installed the backup add on. I back up to a
network drive or USB drive, but every time i turn on the program it keeps
stating drive not available, and it takes many steps to get back to normal.
Any idea how to stop this. Thanks Tim

You have to close Outlook before it will save the backup file.
