I want to purchase a refurbished laptop that has Windows XP Professional OS
but no word processing software on it. I have MS Office 2000 Professional on
CD that I use on my desktop. Will this load onto Win XP and work?

It will install without a problem - I've done it with these apps -
As to whether you have a licence to install Office on two pc's - thats
another matter.

Hi Bob,

MS Office 2000 works on Windows XP. However, if it's
an OEM rather than retail edition of Office 2000 it may
not be able to be moved to a different machine. OEM copies
are licensed to a particular machine. Retail copies are
licensed to a particular person.
