Hello Dear,
we can add bar text on 5 different positions(up, down, right, left, inside)
the question is how can i add multiple info in one position?
For i.e, "name", and "text 10" on top position
I tried by adding ",' between them but did not work
I hope there is a solution for it
Thank you

Hi Majid,

You could use a spare text field to concatenate the Name field and the
Text10 field and just display the concatenated field.

Create the following formula in one of the spare text fields:
[Name] & " " & [Text10]

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Dear JulieS
In the "Bar text" filed I do not see the "spare field". What I see is the
option for Up, bottom, inside, right, left
Am I suppose to see it in the "Bar stlye"?
Please addvise and thank you

Hi Majid,

I'm sorry for not being more clear.

For example, if you used the Text20 field to concatenate the [Name] and
the [Text10] field, you would use the Text20 field in the Bar Styles
dialog box. On the Text tab, select Text20 (or whatever field you used
to combine the Name and the Text10 information) from the drop-down to
the right of Top or whatever location you want the results of the field
to display.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Dear Julie,
I am sorry for geeting back to you again,
I have tried to put [Name] & " " & [Text10] in the text tab that to be
appeared on the "top" however, it does not accepet it and the message I am
getting is:
"the value is not valid in this situation"
If I use drop down arrow, I have no more than one option either "name" or
"text 10"

Hi Majid,

Don't apologize, we are here to answer questions ;-).

Let's start at the beginning:
You have already inserted the Text10 field into a table and put data in
it.
Insert another Text field into your table (For our example I'll use
Text20)
Once you have inserted Text20 into a table:
1) Click your secondary mouse button over the column heading and choose
Customize Fields from the shortcut menu to show the Customize Fields
dialog box.
2) Click the Formula button to open the Formula for 'Text20' dialog box.
3) In the white area enter:
[Name]&" "&[Text10]
4) Click the OK button to close the Formula for 'Text20' dialog box.
5) You will get a message about the existing data in the Text20 field
will be deleted because all values will now be calculated by the
formula.
6) Click OK to close that message and return to the Customize Fields
dialog box.
7) Click OK to close the Customize Fields dialog box.

The Text20 field should now contain the Task Name, a space, and then the
information you entered into the Text10 field.

To add the Text20 field to your Gantt bars:

1) Choose Format > Bar Styles to open the Bar Styles dialog box.
2) Select the bar definition you wish to change
3) Click the Text tab at the bottom.
4) Click the drop-down list to the right of the Top choice.
5) Select Text20 from the drop-down list.
6) Click OK to close the Bar Styles dialog box.

I hope this helps. Please post again if you have any questions at all.
