BCWP problem

Vitor

I have this situation for a task on MS Project Professional 2003 SP2:

Baseline start: 01/26/2007
Baseline finish: 03/14/2007
Baseline cost/work (resource cost=1): 162hrs

Actual start: 01/26/2007
Actual finish: 03/01/2007
Actual work/cost: 46 hrs
% Complete = 100
Physical % Complete = 100

If I set Project status date to 01/25/2007, BCWP for this task is 162
and BCWS=ACWP=0.
Setting status date to 03/14/2007, the values are OK: BCWP = 162, BCWS
= 162, ACWP=46.

Is this a known bug?

Thanks,
Vitor.

The stated behavior can not duplicated on this machine.
Check settings- Tools/Options/Calculation. Set so actual cost is calculated
manually.
EV Calculation Method (Tools/Options/Calculation/EV....) set to %Complete
Task specific EV set to %Complete?
F9 to recalculate project?
Enter Actual Cost on status date of 3/1, not 1/25?

Hi Jim,

Earned value method for this task: Physical % Complete
Default earned value method: Physical % Complete

I tried to uncheck automatic actual cost calculation and press F9.
Nothing change.

But, if I change physical % complete for this task to 99%, BCWP goes
to 0, the correct value for this status date.

Another thing I tried was to remove the resource from the task, clear
the baseline, re-plan exactly the same way, save the baseline again
and input again the same actuals. This time BCWP works correctly.

Can I send you a copy of my project plan so you can Analyze?

Thanks,
Vitor.
