Best place to learn coding for macros

I work with Microsoft Visual Basic and Word 2000. I am taking an online
course on Visual Basic 6.0. Is there another good place out there to learn?

thanks!

Since you're posting the the Word newsgroup, I'll assume you're refereing to
Word macros.

The beginners newsgroup (as well as this one) is a good place to start with
VBA.

Search for 'book recommendations'. There's also a list on the mvps.org
website.

I bought the Word 97 Macro & VBA by Hart-Davis. (Several years ago) It was
rated Intermediate. That was a good middle-of-the-road book.

My best learning came from trying to figure out how I could make my job
easier. I wrote several large macros that I still use everyday. I wrote
them one at a time, then added a Userform to display them collective so I
could choose the one I wanted.

Word actually uses Visual Basic for Applications (vba) which is a super
subset of VB.

The MVP FAQ vba and userform FAQs have some good examples of code and what
you can do. Steve Roman's Word Macros book is good.
