black out dates on a yearly calendar

I am creating a yearly calendar for group members and we do not meet on
certain dates. How can I cross out or eliminate these dates on this calendar.
Thanks, Connie

Have a look at your collection of AutoShapes...
I suspect you can find something appropriate.

You'll find the AutoShapes option on your
Objects Toolbar.

I tried it (I have Publisher 2000) and used the picture box to outline
the unneeded day, then went to flood fill and picked a good color and filled
in the sqaure (day) with it.

I know our local school has an online calenar with days there are no
school, and half days and various other things, with different colors for
each.

On the bottom it will show a purple square (for example) and says "no
school:"

A yellow one means getting out at noon, etc.

Another way, if you want to make the days you DO meet, you could make a
light color fill and color the meeting days.

I think you might mean you meet every Thurs ( whatever) except a few
times you DON'T have a meeting that particular date and want to fill in the
square to show this?
