Bloated Powerpoint File

W

Warren

I have a powerpoint file that is really big - over 13M for 48 slides. There
are really no graphics to speak of. I have changed the original design with a
template. There must be some way to compress the file down.

Thank you.

First thing to check is, whether the Fast Saves are really turned off
(Tools - Options - Save). If this option is checked, files tend to groooow.

I have run into this problem too. When I run code to enumerate the shapes
on
the slides it still shows shapes and objects that have been deleted. The
way
I got the size down is to paste the slides into an new presentation,
although
that is a pretty cheesy way to do it. I would be interested in a proper
resolution to this also.

Did you uncheck Fast Saves? And save the presentation using a new name? That
should help.

Kind regards,
Ute
